It was being claimed this week that Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Leo Bonatini was soon set to complete a loan move out to Greek club PAOK.

The 24-year-old has had a mixed time of it really at the Molineux following his arrival from Al-Hilal. An explosive start for the Brazilian saw 12 goals in the first half of our Championship campaign back in 2017/18, but he’s only actually scored once more in his time with us.

Plenty of fans were surprised when we enacting the permanent option, especially as it came so late and whilst few can argue with his efforts, we haven’t seen the improvement necessary in the Premier League so a move of some sort this month won’t come as a surprise.

The original report comes from outlet Spor and they claim there was Swedish interest in the player, but a loan to buy deal has been agreed.

It sounds like an optional buy clause though, and not an automatic one so it’ll depend on how he performs for them.
