Wolves winger Michael McIndoe has mad a shock move to Bristol City.

One of manager Mick McCarthy’s success stories last season, McIndoe was Wolves highest ranked player in the final Actim Standings, leading the league in assists.

Manager Mick McCarthy broke the news on the clubs official site, saying

‘City expressed an interest in Michael and he likewise was interest in them.

‘We’ve signed Matt Jarvis and also have Daniel Jones fit so I was happy to let him go.

‘I’m pleased with the players we’ve got and the cover we have for that position. It was a good deal for the club and the player.’

There has been no hint that McIndoe was unhappy at Wolves, and his form and inclusion in Mick McCarthy’s starting line-ups gave no indication of todays developments.

True, Wolves have more than adequate cover waiting to take over his role, but eyebrows are sure to be raised as Wolves fans everywhere struggle to find an answer to the the real reason behind what will possibly be Wolves shock transfer of the Summer.

Visibly upset at being substituted at the end of last season, was a wedge driven between player and manager that could not be overcome?

Whatever the reason, this subject is bound to be the talk of bars all across the midlands tonight.
