Wolves manager Mick McCarthy is running the rule over several players this afternoon in a friendly against Mansfield Town ahead of Saturdays away game at Kenilwirth Road.

Forced into making an unwanted change following Darren Potters suspension, several players are at the forefront of his thoughts.

‘I’ve got options. I could move Karl Henry back into midfield and there’s others waiting in the wings like Mark Davies and Stephen Gleeson.’ he told the clubs official site.

‘It’s a dilemma for me but it’s better than me having to worry about chasing a loan signing because we haven’t got players we can bring in.’
