According to reports across the internet, Mick McCarthy could be set to make summer moves for two Wolves players.

The first is 25-year-old Richard Stearman, who spent the second half of last season on loan with Ipswich Town, making 15 appearances.

It’s thought that McCarthy would like to see Stearman return to Portman Road over the summer, but with a year left on his contract at Molineux, no formal bids have been made according to Wolves head coach Kenny Jackett.

“I haven`t spoken to him but he`s under contract. I don`t think there have been any bids for him.” he told the media.

The second player that has come under the Ipswich radar is Stephen Ward who of course has been put on the transfer list by Jackett, reports in Ireland suggest the 27-year-old could make the move to re-unite with McCarthy ahead of the new season, although Ipswich fan site twtd.co.uk believe a move for left-back would be ‘unlikely’ unless Aaron Cresswell moves on.
