Every best selling novel will have multiple plots that twist and turn with every page turn.

The main story will keep your intrigue going throughout, while small sub-plots will add a distraction, perhaps add some humour or even some intrigue.

This weekend, it’s intrigue with Karl Henry possibly being back on the pitch with Fulham striker Bobby Zamora.

In September a tackle by Henry left Zamora with a broken leg, the tackle which had no malice, intent or bad feeling was actually a fair challenge, but it led towards a media whirlwind which stirred up a lot of controversy.

Zamora returned to action for Fulham in February and has started his last two games, scoring twice against Blackpool.

But while raking over old ground gives us something to discuss in the build up to the game, Mick McCarthy is firmly focussed on the job in hand, the main plot of this seasons blockbuster, Wolves ultimately surviving another season in the Premier League.

‘I think you’ll find that staying up is the bigger story with me – I’m not bothered about anything else,’ McCarthy told Wolves Official Website.

He continued: ‘People can always find something in any game – such as one player went to school with someone else, or so-and-so went out with someone else’s girlfriend, or another player suffered a bad tackle from him or somebody got booked or sent off.

‘There is always a sub-plot which the media all like, but it goes right over my head.

‘None of that garbage washes with me at all.
