Well that wasn`t so bad, was it?
While many of us wouldn`t have admitted it, a few may have feared being on the receiving end of a bit of spanking from Manchester City yesterday, however it didn`t happen and we could of pinched a point in the end.
We may have ridden our luck at times, but Manchester City did have around £100 million of recently acquired talent on show. Shay Given probably proved the best value on this appearance, while Bridge, Toure, Wright-Phillips, Barry, Robinho, Tevez and Bellamy showed the quality in the side and Emmanuel Adebayor was the man who once again bagged a goal for City.
But for all their huff and puff they didn`t add to their tally, much like the game against West Ham, the opposition threatened to bag more, but couldn`t manage it, as we continue to pick up positive comments for our battling displays.
Keogh rattled the bar during a second half where we enjoyed a better spell, not many clear cut chances were created, but it was good that we still enjoyed a period of pressure, rather than rolling over and accepting defeat.
Vital Wolves Comment: Must admit, although it is a defeat I remain fairly chipper, I was expecting to be on the receiving end of a walloping and perhaps we should continue to expect one eventually, but right now, we`re holding our own and look more likely to pinch points late on.
