Following Fosun’s arrival at Wolverhampton Wanderers and our Jorge Mendes led capture of some massive transfer targets, seeing us storm to the Championship title and a solid seventh placed finish in the Premier League in our first year back, Wolves are now a regular mention at the top end of the transfer mill when it comes to the speculation and these days, at least, it’s no surprise to see us being linked with the likes of Ruben Dias.
The Express and Star linked us to the 22-year-old Portuguese talent on Friday and given he already has 11 international caps to his name, and has been reportedly tracked by the likes of Real Madrid and Manchester United, it’s certainly a link that was well greeted by the fanbase.
Again Dias is a Mendes client, and the report states that we won’t be looking to pay his £57million release fee, but it’s just another example of how far the club has come in such a short period of time that when a link like this surfaces now, there is always that pause to wonder if it might be genuine.
This would be a game changer.!!!!!!
