Mick McCarthy has called on the fans to create a superb atmosphere at Molineux tonight for the visit of Arsenal.

Games under the lights always create that extra bit of atmosphere and our Mick wants to use that to our advantage tonight as we aim to upset one of the Big Four.

“When my players get on the pitch I expect them to be competitive and I expect our fans to be vociferous, one-eyed and only seeing gold shirts to make it as hostile a place as possible.’ McCarthy told the Express & Star.

He continued: “Arsenal`s players travel all over the world but I always believe that if there`s a nip in the air and the fans are up for it it`s a great time to play football.

“If I had a choice of playing home games of an evening I would always take it because it generates a better atmosphere.”

Vital Wolves Comment: The players have to go out there believing they can get something from the game, but also, they need to relax to lift the pressure off their shoulders.

While an upset is always possible, no one is expecting us to take anything from the game, so we should go out there knowing we have nothing to lose or fear.
