Reports are emerging that state Joleon Lescott will join Everton today in a deal worth £5.5 million.

The revised terms mean Wolves will still recieve the full ammount agreed last month, consisting of a £2.5 million cash downpayment and further payments basd on appearances.

The deal had hung in the balance after Everton expressed concerns over the strength of Joleon’s knees following the extensive surgery to both at the end of the 2002-2003 season that caused him to miss Wolves entire top flight year.

But after Wolves agreed to defer £1.5 million of the cash downpayment, Joleon now looks set to become a Toffee and finally run out as a Premiership player.
