Despite having only six appearances to his name in the Gold of Wolverhampton Wanderers, Jonny Castro was one of the accepted seniors on display in the EFL Cup third round tie against Leicester City in midweek.
With head coach Nuno Espirito Santo taking all the positives he could from the showing, fans weren’t that concerned with the defeat owing to the number of changes the gaffer made as we keep a firmer eye on the Premier League for this season at least.
The 24-year-old left-back did take to social media following the game though to talk about his disappointment at the 3-0 defeat, but clearly, no-one was holding it against him.

Responding in kind, Wolves fans were perfectly happy to point out the league is all important this year and not to be too downhearted with the result as they were taking the positives themselves from the squad stepping up to give a good performance, even if penalties didn’t go our way.

The EFL Cup may be out of reach for this season, but there’s still the FA Cup adventure to go.
