Matt Jarvis hopes that winning his first cap for England will be the start of a long established career in International football.

The 24-year-old made his England debut as a 69th minute sub replacing Jack Wilshere in the 1-1 draw with Ghana on Tuesday night.

“Fingers crossed there will be more to come, but it`s given me the appetite for more.’ Matt Jarvis told the Express & Star.

Jarvis became the first Wolves player to represent England since Steve Bull in 1990.

Jarvis added: “Hopefully this is the start. It`s what you dream about and you want to represent your country and it`s a fantastic feeling.

“I want more – but I`ve got to make sure I play consistently well for Wolves and make sure we stay up.”

Vital Wolves Comment: While it was great to see him finally getting his chance, which was very much well deserved, after losing Kevin Doyle to injury during the international break I was just pleased he came back in one piece!
