Diogo Jota has become the latest addition at Wolves.

Jota, having joined Atletico Madrid on a five year deal last summer, was loaned to Porto last season, which saw him work with Nuno Espirito Santo.

The attacking midfielder, further boosting Nuno’s attacking options, has arrived at Molineux on a season-long loan.

He told the Official Website a chance to play in England had always been his goals and Jota was ‘very excited’ to join a club like Wolves with the chance to work with Nuno of course important to the move.

‘I am very excited. Wolves is a huge club and an historic club. It is always a goal for me to play in England and this is a good opportunity for me.’

Adding: ‘It is good for me to work with Nuno again because I know him and worked with him last year. I have also worked with some of the other players here as well. That will help me settle in here. It is always better when there are people that you know when you are moving to something different – a different country with a different language.’

Portuguese U21 international Jota feels, at least hopes, he’ll bring goals to Molineux and provide them for his teammates too.

‘Playing in the Championship will be very hard and very competitive with a lot of games. It will be a good experience for me. I will always do my best for the fans – I will do a lot of running for sure and hopefully will score goals and provide assists.’

During his season at Porto he scored nine goals in 35 appearances in all competitions, including one in the Champions League against Leicester.
