Roger Johnson signed a four-year contract with Wolves following his undisclosed move from Birmingham and was immediately focussed on getting involved in pre-season.
Johnson had always been one of Mick McCarthy’s main targets and for a fee of just under £7million, Mick got his man just days after the disappointment of missing out on Matt Mills.
‘I think Wolves are a team who can do well and have a good run in the cup but speaking to the manager I think staying in the league has to be the first priority,’ Johnson told the Official site.
He added: ‘But from there I don’t think mid-table is out of the question.
‘I’m good to go and am training today and will be asking the manager if I can play on Saturday.’
