If there was one thing that you couldn’t accuse Wolverhampton Wanderers Head Coach Kenny Jackett of is inconsistency.

Ever since Kenny Jackett walked through the door at Molinuex he has always said that he would never discuss other teams players when faced with transfer speculation.

That is something that he has always stood firm on and even while Coventry manager Steven Pressley has publicly revealed that they had rejected a bid from Wolves for striker Leon Clarke, Jackett still refuses to discuss other teams players.

“We have made various bids at various times for different players. I`m not going to name any individuals, unless their clubs agree and agree a fee, We are not at the situation with any player at present. I read Pressley`s comments. From my point of view it would be unprofessional to comment.’ Jackett told the Birmingham Mail.

Wolves have reported had a £300,000 bid for Clarke rejected, with some reports suggesting that Coventry want closer to £1million for their top scorer.

While Wolves have also been linked with other strikers during this transfer window.

Jackett continued: “We have made a number of bids, or enquiries, over the last few months for different players. Some we have brought in, like Henry, Dicko and Jacobs, and then others haven`t come off and I don`t think you can talk about other people`s players.”

But Jackett confirmed that he was on the look out for an additional striker.

Jackett added: “I don`t think it will change significantly, There is a lot of speculation, as there will be with most clubs. Most of our speculation, or all of it, does centre around our forward line. We are trying to improve.
