Wolverhampton Wanderers Head Coach Kenny Jackett is making moves to get his house in order.
And his first move has been to recall Kortney Hause from his loan spell with League One side Gillingham.
The 19-year-old centre has made 17 appearances so far this season and has impressed during his loan spell earning him a call up to the England Under-20 squad.
But with Wolves potentially looking thin on the ground and struggling defensively, he has been called back to Molineux.
“Ethan (Ebanks-Landell) has a hamstring injury and we don`t know how long he`ll be out for but he certainly won`t be available this weekend, Danny Batth is on four bookings which is one away from a suspension and, defensively, we have let in 10 goals in three games.’ Jackett told the Express & Star.
He continued: “So Kortney comes back in with some good experience from playing for Gillingham and England Under-20s and give us the chance to have a good look at him.”
With the loan window closing on Thursday, Jackett also insists that the decision was made now so to give Gillingham time to source a replacement.
He added: “Had we gone into next week and then recalled Kortney there wouldn`t have been the opportunity for Gillingham to bring anyone in,
‘In doing so now at least it gives them the opportunity to try to make a loan signing if needed.”
