A lot has been said about the ‘W’s this year for relegation, by that we mean Wigan, West Ham, WBA and ourselves.
But lately it’s only Wigan who appear to be getting detached.
Yes, it would have been better to discover this ‘winning formula’ we seem to have found after 9 games had gone in the season, not however with 9 games left!
I always remember us being a late form team even when we had a really good side.
It is now going to go down to the wire, no more slip ups as time and games left, afford us none.
If Wigan lose another game I think they will be to far adrift, 3-5 points is not a lot mid season but now its a huge gap to get back.
That clutch of teams on 32 points are looking vulnerable, above that its Villa and Stoke, anything above those I think it would take a complete collapse for them to become involved.
Our result against Villa will determine I think, what happens to Villa, a win for them will go a long way to reach safety, for us? I would settle for a draw and our home games are the ones we ‘must’ win.
I don’t have the stats, but on form at the moment all the ‘B’s are looking poor, Blackburn, Blackpool and Blues, I think two of those could well end up in trouble.
Normally you would favour us looking at our run-in, but I still worry about our form against those dreaded ‘teams around us’, from now until the end of the season those are the teams we must meet and defeat if we are to stay amongst the so called elite!
We are the Wolves! and yes it’s going to get emotional! where have I heard that before? .UTW.

Crete Wolf Comment: 44 Points for Safety??
I’ve looked at the remaining fixtures and have come up with 44 points for us!
Will it be enough? Drawing away to Villa, Stoke and Blues(3pts).
Losing away to Newcastle and Sunderland
Winning home games, Everton, Fulham, WBA and Blackburn (12pts) 44 Points total.
What do you think? Give teams and total points.
