Richard Stearman wasn’t going to be taking any negatives from the game against Spurs.

The Wolves man had put in a solid shift and was many peoples pick for man of the match.

‘Losing 2-0 is not the result we wanted but all we can do is take the positives from the game,’ said Stearman to Wolves Official Website after the game.

He added: ‘It shows how far we’ve come that we’re so disappointed to lose against a team which was in the Champions League last season.’

Wolves held out for the best part of 70 minutes but eventually were undone first by Emmanuel Adebayor and then by Jermain Defoe.

Vital Wolves Comment: It of course means the unbeaten run is over, which is a shame but was never realistically going to last anyway!
