Wolverhampton Wanderers have long been linked with a move for AC Milan striker Andre Silva and our reported interest in the 23-year-old first surfaced during the 2018 transfer window.

Dogged Determination May Win Out For Wolves When It Comes To 23 y/o Summer Target

He has obviously been back on the rumour mill this summer as we continue to look for backup and options to Raul Jimenez given his fantastic start to life at The Molineux, but the reported fee has always been problematic really.

With the speculation not going away, there was a twist as last week came to a close and Italian outlet Sport Mediaset rather bizarrely claimed that AC would offer Silva as a makeweight in a deal for Ruben ‘Superstar’ Neves.

I’m not quite sure what they are serving in the staff canteen but I’d like access to it.

There’s no way Wolves would deal on Neves given his first year in the Premier League and from the players point of view, he will know another good year with further improvement only makes him a more attractive option for the true European giants, and AC Milan really aren’t in that category anymore.

Even allowing for AC apparently wanting in the region of £26million for the player, that would still leave the cash portion of the deal in the realms of £60/80million and with their Financial Fair Play problems, well, I’m back to whatever they are serving in the canteen if they think this deal has any legs whatsoever.
