Is Charlie Adam a target?

Despite Wolverhampton Wanderers struggles in the transfer market, we have been linked alongside Brighton with a loan move for Stoke’s Charlie Adam.

It’s pretty clear to many Wolves fans and it seems apparent to Wolverhampton Wanderers Head Coach Kenny Jackett that the priority during this transfer window is to find the right replacement for striker Benik Afobe and strengthen the defence.

The latter will hopefully see Mike Williamson return from Newcastle, however that deal appears to be on hold due to finances.

The former sees Kenny Jackett flicking through a whole list of potential targets such as Hibernian striker Jason Cummings, Peterborough forward Conor Washington, Huddersfield’s Nahki Wells, Barnet’s John Akinde, Walsall’s Tom Bradshaw and Bolton’s Zach Clough.

While potential loan targets could be Crystal Palace’s Frazier Campbell and Watford striker Obbi Oulare.

However according to the Express, Kenny Jackett is also interested in Stoke midfielder Charlie Adam.

According to the national, both ourselves and Brighton had enquired about taking the 30-year-old on a permanent deal, but the players wages and Stoke demanding a fee has ‘put the block on that’.

Instead both clubs will be looking for a loan move, apparently.
