Wolverhampton Wanderers were linked last week with a possible move for on-loan Nottingham Forest fullback Saidy Janko.
The 23-year-old Switzerland born Porto player headed into the City Ground on a season-long loan deal at the end of last August, presumably as Jorge Mendes tried to replicate his magic with them, but Janko has so far only made six appearances and if his performance in Forest’s defeat in the EFL Cup to League One Burton Albion is anything to go by, maybe it’s best we avoid him.
Having lost 3-2 on Tuesday evening, Janko came in for a bit of a hammering from their fans as he was credited with an own goal on the day and from the sounds of things, his overall performance wasn’t much better.
Janko, Watson, Daws, Hef, Cash, Osborn, Dias all woeful #nffc.
Just embarrassing.

Whether it was anger at the defeat to lower league opposition, a reaction to the own goal being credited his way or simply a bad day at the office for the player – in Fosun and Mendes we trust.
The original link came via the Sun and I’ve no idea if their claim that he has been impressive is true or not, but he is a Manchester United graduate and spent time with Celtic earlier in his career.
