Wolves had 3 bids for Inigo Idiakez rejected in the summer, but since that time they have also signed Denes Rosa, an attack minded midfielder, who if not really similar to Idiakez, occupies the same berth as him.

Idiakez is now said to be unhappy with Derby’s failiure to match last seasons success, but he may have missed his chance for a move to Wolverhampton. Southampton are said to be ready with a £900,000 bid, and Sunderland are also said to be watching developments.

With enough funds, Hoddle may have been tempted to re open negotiations, but with a limited budget, spending half on a player who cant solve his headache is unlikely. All his efforts now being concentrated on finding a goalscorer to convert Wolves numerous chances, into points on the board.
