Wolverhampton Wanderers skipper Sam Ricketts was disappointed for the fans following the 5-0 thrashing at the hands of Derby County.

Wolves travelled in good numbers to the iPro Stadium for Saturday’s early kick off.

But it’s fair to say they were not rewarded for their efforts, with Wolves getting thumped by Derby County 5-0.

“We knew it was a big test for us against a good side and it was disappointing to get beat 5-0 – I can`t think of any game where I`ve been beaten 5-0 as a player before.’ Ricketts told Wolves Official Website.

He continued: “It`s hugely disappointing and the players were all gutted in the dressing room. We were disappointed for the fans who were magnificent right the way through.

“Even at the end of the game they never showed any anger towards the players and they were right behind us. They showed what great fans they are on Saturday.

“They`ve been brilliant ever since I`ve been here and I don`t expect anything else.’
