Wolves boss Glenn Hoddle has offered sympathy to George Ndah after he announced his decision to retire ealier today.

Speaking to the clubs official site he said :

‘It’s very sad,’ said Glenn. ‘But it has been a bit stop-start for him over the past few seasons and it has been very frustrating for him to feel like he was on the road to recovery only then to have another blow.

‘I always felt he had a lot to offer and I really thought he’d have a big impact this season. But, when he suffered his last injury at Sheffield Wednesday, it was a real blow to him.

‘If he was fit and able then I think he’d have had a few more years left but sadly that’s not to be.

‘It is a fantastic life as a footballer and when he called and said what the specialist had told him I advised him to take a few days to think about it. He still felt the same after that and so his decision was made.

‘It’s a great shame but we wish him all the best for his future.’
