Speculation yesterday linked us with a move for Norwegian youth international John Kitano, and Wolverhampton Wanderers have now confirmed his arrival as well.

The 18-year-old Congolese-Norwegian makes the switch from Odds Ballklubb who play in the top tier of Norwegian football and he made his debut aged only 16 in the Eliteserian and carries more than ten senior appearances to his name, including two Europa League qualifying round ties.

Kitano is a left back by trade and he joins up with Rob Edwards’ Under 23 side for the coming campaign where hopefully he will settle in quickly at Premier League 2 level and continue his development whilst impressing and earning his spurs at the club.

The youngster has signed a three-year deal and becomes another capture for the club as we keep one eye on the future and continue to build and improve all levels at the Molineux.

As an aside, our Under 23s kick-off their new campaign at the Madejski Stadium on Saturday as we face Reading in the opening match at 1pm.
