Henry targets double figures

James Henry is officially Wolverhampton Wanderers top scorer with six goals following the departure of Benik Afobe.

Not bad for a midfielder who looked destined to leave Molineux earlier this season.

The 26-year-old has bagged six goals this season in 31 appearances in all competitions.

His last 4 goals have come in his last 13 appearances, which is a very good goals per game ratio of someone in Henry’s position.

But his recent good form has not gone to his head and he hasn’t adjusted his target of merely breaking into double figures for the season.

“It just opened up and I thought I would do my best and try and hit the target.

“A deflection helped it on its way and I`m just delighted to get another goal – hopefully there are more to come!’ Henry told Wolves Official Website.

He continued: “It wasn`t one of my better ones but they all count and at the end of the season it will still go down as a ‘one`.

“Hopefully I can chip in with a few more and meet my target of double figures.”
