Mick McCarthy is prepared to draw a line in the sand regarding Karl Henry’s dismissal against Aston Villa.

Henry will serve a three-game ban for kicking out at Marc Albrighton on Saturday.

McCarthy has stated that Henry has apologised to Mick and his team-mates and as far as Mick is concerned that’s an end to it.

‘There is no excuse for it and Karl gets a kick up the backside for doing it. He’s apologised to me and the players.’ McCarthy told Sky Sports.

He continued: ‘But he hasn’t made many mistakes in the last five and a half years at Wolves and has been brilliant for this club. He gets my support for the next 13 games he will be available for.’
