‘Get in’, ‘Beast this lad’ – Lots of Wolves fans react to reports of bid being made

|

Lots of Wolves fans have responded on Twitter to the news that the club is weighing up a bid for Vitoria Guimaraes centre back Edmond Tapsoba.

According to reports from O Jogo (via Sport Witness), Nuno Espirito Santo’s side have made an offer worth €20m for the young centre back, which according to the Portuguese outlet, might be hard for them to turn down.

It is said that Wanderers face some stiff competition from both Leicester City and Bayer Leverkusen, who are also both looking to add to their defensive departments in this window.

Allegedly, the player has a €50m release clause within his contract, but the club is likely to accept a bid for far less than that.

Would you like to see Tapsoba sign for €20?

Yes please, looks a top player

No thanks, far too much

Don't know enough about him

After the rumour surfaced, both @TalkingWolves and @WolvesFC_Latest tweeted about the rumour, to which many fans responded weighing in with their opinions, which you can read below.

Most of the fans seemed to be pretty excited about the potential of signing the defender, while a few others were a bit more pessimistic, with one suggesting €20m is too much and another saying that he will just be apart of the U23s.

With the club being a bit short in the centre back department, this could be signing will blossom over the following years.

So far this season the club has had to rely on midfielders playing in the defensive positions, most notably Romain Saiss and Leander Dendoncker, so by adding Tapsoba they could be getting some important depth, as well as a player with little ceiling to his potential.
