Wolverhampton Wanderers are one of a quartet of clubs reportedly interested in Crystal Palace striker Dwight Gayle.
The 24-year-old striker, who was a £6million signing from Peterborough 16 months ago has so far scored 5 goals in 9 appearances this season including a hat-trick against Walsall in the Capital One Cup.
However he has been limited to just two Premier League starts, mainly in part to the form of Fraizer Campbell.
That said Crystal Palace manager Neil Warnock insists that Gayle is not set to leave the club on loan to Wolves or anywhere else.
‘Dwight is going nowhere because he is far too important to us,’ Warnock said to the Sutton Observer.
He added: “It`s unfortunate for him that Fraizer Campbell is playing as well as he is, otherwise he would be in the team.’
