FORMER Liverpool hero Robbie Fowler will make his debut for North Queensland Fury against Wolves on Wednesday according to the Express & Star.

The 34-year-old who also played for Leeds United, Manchester City, Cardiff City and Blackburn Rovers, decided to move to Australia this year but has struggled with injury.

Fowler who also scored eight times for England has had groin and hip complaints since joining Fury in February.

Vital Wolves Comment: I’m fairly confident that we can keep an ageing Fowler honest in our second pre-season friendly in Australia.

If Fowler manages to score, Mick McCarthy will certainly need to continue the hunt to improve our defence!
