Steven Fletcher has been released from the Scotland squad.

As I mentioned yesterday, it does seem like all the news coming out of Molineux is injury related at the moment!

We’ve had the latest news on Stephen Hunt and Michael Kightly and an update on the state of play regarding Sam Vokes. Now the attention has switched back to Fletcher who has left the Scotland squad.

The 23-year-old missed Scotland’s 0-0 draw in Lithuania and will now miss tonight’s qualifier against Liechtenstein at Hampden.

The news means that he can concentrate on getting fit for Wolves ready for Saturday`s match at Fulham.

However it isn’t clear how much of a chance Fletcher has in recovering in time and with Kevin Doyle and Sylvain Ebanks-Blake both on form would he be guaranteed a place anyway??
