For anyone watching the Fulham game, one of the most worrying signs of the game was the fact that we virtually waved the white flag and surrendered at the end.
Three goals were conceded in the final half an hour, with players still happy to sit in rigid line formations, but without the nous to go and actually win the ball.
Instead we were left watching shadows as the side was torn apart.
It was a similar story to the Albion game, where four goals were conceded in the final 30 minutes. Although this latest defeat was obviously far less embarrassing.
Sandwiched in the middle of two heavy defeats was the comeback against Newcastle and the faint glimmer of hope, is what Richard Stearman is clinging on to in his search for a light at the end of the tunnel.
‘As people saw last week at Newcastle, we came back from 2-0 down to earn a point and we`re top of the league for claiming points after going behind, so the spirit is there,” Stearman told Express & Star.
He added: “Sunday was just a bad day and we`ve got to look to put things right against Blackburn.”
