Back at the beginning of May, reports surfaced suggesting that Wolverhampton Wanderers had already tabled an offer for 28-year-old Porto striker Moussa Marega – and it’s pretty much been radio silence since.
To save repeating the bulk of the original report, I’ll copy it in.
With 21 goals scored by the Mali international for his club this year, his stock is pretty high and this week the Mirror have picked the story back up and have now claimed that we are now in pole position for his capture, having offered £30million for his services – they say that fee is his release clause.
Leicester City and West Ham continue to be liked to the player, and having reportedly met the release fee, they also claim strangely that we continued to have scouts in place for their recent victory over Sporting Lisbon, so I’m naturally suspicious here.
The only actual update here that I can see is the pole position claim and the stating of the fee.
