Contrary to reports in England Spanish side Elche have said that Tomasz Frankowski is NOT for sale. The Spanish club are eager to hang on to a player they see as a key part of their future development

Elche Vice President Jose Sepulcre has said

‘Frankowski is not on the market. He is a very important player for us, and will help us achieve our goals and he will not be transferred.’

It is thought that the fee involved, may be one sticking point with Sepulcre saying

“The Wolves offer was lower than what we paid for him.”(£600,00)

Frankowski now seems to be doing his best to keep his options open.

‘Everything depends on the negotiations between the clubs, if there is agreement, I can move to England, but if not, I will remain in Spain because I feel very happy in Elche’ he said, adding

‘I have not stopped to think about the possibility of leaving Elche, because the club has not considered it either. If Elche decide to sell me to another club,I will begin to think about that then. At the moment I’m not thinking of anyhthing else other than playing for Elche. I am very happy here. I have had to adapt to the climate and the pitches that are drier and harder, but I am very happy here.’
