After looking like Sylvan Ebanks-Blake was on his way out of the door at Molinuex it now looks like he is set to stay.
The striker who was a £1million target for Crystal Palace during the January transfer window has less than six months remaining on his current Wolves deal.
It leaves SEB in a very powerful position as someone who could have commanded a £1million transfer fee in January will be available on a free transfer just a few months later.
That would tend to mean that any clubs looking to sign him on some form of deal could offer the 26-year-old a more lucrative deal as the club wouldn’t be spending the money on a transfer fee.
But with all that in mind, Wolves gaffer Dean Saunders appears pretty confident that Ebanks-Blake is happy at Molineux and would prefer to stay beyond the end of this season.
“We`re talking about it now, We were just waiting for the window to shut and for things to calm down a bit and now we`ll crack on.’ Saunders told the Express & Star.
He continued: “I think he wants to stay and sign – it`s just down to agreeing the figures.
“We`ve got to reach an agreement somewhere.
Ebanks-Blake joined Wolves for £1.5million from Plymouth five years ago on Saturday.
In that time he has made 183 appearances for the club scoring 60 goals.
