Kevin Doyle will miss the start of the season after picking up another injury whilst on International duty.

Doyle was released from the Republic of Ireland squad yesterday after a recurrence of his knee injury.

That injury, again sustained while part of the Republic of Ireland squad kept him sidelined for six weeks last season.

Initial reports claim he could be out for just two to three weeks this time around however the damage will not really be known until he has been assessed by the Club’s Medical staff later today at Compton.

Vital Wolves Comment: It’s a big blow, but when one door closes another door opens and perhaps this could be another chance for The Hoff following his appearance against Real Zaragoza?
