Wolverhampton Wanderers were tentatively linked with AC Milan striker Andre Silva back in the 2018 summer transfer window, and although obviously nothing came of the reported interest, his name has again appeared on the rumour mill for this year.

To save overly repeating the original link I’ll copy it in.

Wolves Will Have No Interest In This Man At That Price

In short, it was said AC Milan wanted to at least break even on the 38million Euro outlay they paid Porto for his services, but they have reportedly now dropped their demands quite significantly if a piece by Gazzetta dello Sport is to be believed.

They claim that the player is ‘destined’ to leave the San Siro this summer but only for around the £26.6million mark given he’s now fallen completely out of favour. Last season he spent time out at Sevilla, scoring 11 goals in 40 appearances and they now seem to want to cut their losses.

Given how long we have been linked with the player, and it’s been suggested we’ve made multiple approaches for him, we are now supposedly in pole position and ahead of the likes of Valencia, Monaco, Marseille and Fenerbahce.

Given he’s a Portuguese international and our ties in that direction, now the price is lower there may be more in this one. Especially if there is more wriggle room in the transfer fee.
