Highly rated young Wolverhampton Wanderers attacker Niall Ennis could be set for a loan spell out in League Two with Plymouth Argyle in the 2019/20 campaign according to reports this week.

The 20-year-old attacker has already made his substitute debut for the club in the FA Cup, and back in the first half of the 2017/18 campaign, he took in two games out with Shrewsbury Town, but he’d have certainly hoped for greater game time as hit was hit by a long term knee injury.

The Plymouth Herald reported on Monday that there was some expectation that the England youth international would be heading to Home Park this summer, but it seems the original source for the claims were social media based, so there is some natural scepticism here.

A switch to League Two would certainly make sense so he can play catch up after his spell on the sidelines, but Shrewsbury could also be interested in a return for him possibly, so we’ll have to see what happens.

If he makes his mark in the Premier League Asia Cup tournament, it’ll only increase the interest in him.
