At the tail end of last week, Championship side Leeds United were seemingly heavily linked with a move this summer for Wolverhampton Wanderers’ attacker Helder Costa.
Everyone at the Molineux knows the role he played in helping head coach Nuno Espirito Santo’s side to promotion in the 2017/18 campaign as Championship title winners, and he did play his part in our rise to seventh place in the Premier League in our first season back, but I imagine his game time certainly wasn’t what he had hoped for.
He wasn’t the only player to struggle to replicate their prior form for us though, and given the speculation that Marcelo Bielsa was interested in him, plenty of fans seemed to see the sense in letting him out for a season to re-find his form and his mojo.
I’m not so sure myself, with Nuno and Jeff Shi talking about a small group moving forward, surely with the Europa League on the horizon Costa would have a big part to play in the Cup competitions.
A year on loan to a championship club could do wonders for him.
If be gets playing of playing time then it might give him a chance to get his mojo back, it he doesn't then del him— Michael Chance (@grumpywolf63) June 6, 2019

They play good football may help him get back to his best with regular football. Still has unfinished business at @wolves and I believe part of our future @heldercosta_

Be a good move for all involved. Bielsa a top coach, he gets his mojo back as I may be in the minority but he was electric on his day and could still get back there
