Glenn Hoddle rates Carl Corts chances of being fit for Friday as close to evens. Cort came off the bench on Saturday against Plymouth, and scored for the reserves earlier in the week, but Hoddle still feels he has a way to go.
‘Carl played for the reserves on Monday and came through alright but he’s still got a bit to prove to himself and me,’ said Hoddle.
‘His knee needs to settle down as well. We haven’t been able to train him as hard as we would have liked since Monday and we’ve got to be careful not to flare the knee up.’
Wolves have looked less than deadly in his absence and another 3 months without him could seriously damage their run in to the play offs. But he is aproaching full match fitness, and Hoddle will be sure to use him at the earliest possible opportunity, if not Friday night.
‘Whether he starts is probably 60-40 against at the moment, but he’s got half a chance.’ said Hoddle.
