Wolves are set to make another move for Newcastle United`s England under-21 striker Andy Carroll.

We’ve previously had a £3 million offer rejected by the Championship pace setters, but Mick McCarthy is ready to prepare another offer as we look to splash some cash in the hopes of boosting our squad for our Premier League survival battle in the second half of the season.

Stoke City and West Ham are also reportedly interested, so we will have some competition if we do want to bring a Carroll to Molineux this Christmas.

Vital Wolves Comment: Apologies for the Christmas related pun, I do realise he wouldn’t be allowed to join until January!
