With Slawomir Peszko, Razak Boukari and Stephen Hunt all injured Ståle Solbakken has a bit of injury crisis on his hands.
Bakary Sako is now our only true wide player in the squad, so the Wolves gaffer has a dilemma.
Does he push the likes of Dave Edwards, Stephen Ward or Kevin Doyle wide? Or give youngsters Anthony Forde and Zeli Ismail a chance? Or does he look to bring in someone on a temporary basis to plug the gap?
The most likely move was thought to be a move into the loan market, but Solbakken has opted to give someone on our doorstep an opportunity to impress.
According to the Express & Star former Baggies winger Somen Tchoyi spent, Thursday, Friday and Saturday with the Wolves set-up.
He trained the first two days with the first team and on Saturday he worked with the development squad. The 29-year-old Cameroon international still lives in the Birmingham area after being released by West Brom and in August had trained with Birmingham.
He scored 7 goals in 41 appearances for WBA and previously played for Red Bull Salzburg in Austria, Stabæk and Odd Grenland in Norway and Cameroon side Union Douala.
