Wolves manager Mick McCarthy has extended the emergency loan of Donaster Rovers ‘keeper Jan Budtz for a further six weeks..

Budtz made an inauspiscious debut on Saturday as a second half substitute against The Owls, with his first touch as a Wanderers player being to pick the ball out of the net, but did enough in the remaining 45 to convince mick McCarthy of his worth.

Budtz will continue as understudy to Matt Murray, a situation he has so far enjoyed.

Speaking earlier this week Budtz said :

‘It’s been great to be at Wolves, Matty is the best keeper I’ve ever worked with. I’ve learned a lot from him as well as Bobby who’s a really good goalkeeping coach.

‘There is a really hungry team here with talent who want to win games. I’m just riding on that wave and enjoying it.
