‘Brilliant’, ‘On fire’ – some fans laud another Wolves forward after Thursday’s 3-3 draw

Wolverhampton Wanderers sealed their place in the last-32 of the Europa League after drawing 3-3 with SC Braga on Thursday, and Adama Traore was one of many players praised by supporters for his performance.

Before Wolves’ late collapse, the 23-year-old put the visitors 3-1 up in the 35th minute. He collected the ball from man-of-the-match Raul Jimenez and fired into the back of the net from the edge of the area.

Against Braga, Traore played for 74 minutes, made 50 touches, won one aerial duel, created one chance, had two shots with 50% accuracy, completed 76.5% of his 17 passes, whipped in three crosses and made one tackle.

He’s made 22 appearances in all competitions this season, scoring and creating nine goals. Traore’s enjoying a prolific campaign and has finally silenced the critics who questioned his end product – only Jimenez (six goals, two assists) has contributed more goals in the Premier League (two goals, three assists).

Is Traore our most improved player this season?

No, he is still too inconsistent

Wolves next face Sheffield United on December 1 and could move within four points of fourth-placed Chelsea if results go their way over the weekend.
