According to Mike McGrath of The Sun, Wolverhampton Wanderers have competition from Leicester City, Norwich City and Bundesliga clubs in their pursuit of Robin Koch. The 23-year-old is said to be ‘on Leicester’s radar’ as a long-term replacement for Harry Maguire who joined Manchester United in August.

Wolves are currently without Willy Boly due to injury and may be lining up cover for the 28-year-old. They could do worse than Koch too. The German international has made 13 appearances in all competitions for SC Freiburg this season, scoring one goal.

As per WhoScored, Koch has racked up 990 minutes in the Bundesliga, won 43 aerial duels (66%), averages 50.3 passes-per-game (85% accuracy), blocked 14 shots/crosses/passes, made 36 clearances and averaged a tackle (13) or interception (15) every 35 minutes.

Freiburg have kept three clean sheets and conceded 12 goals in Koch’s 11 league games. The Sun say Wolves would have to pay around £15m to procure his signature in January. Freiburg are willing to let their central defender leave if his asking price is matched, so time will tell if Wolves and others lodge a bid.
