‘Best in 40 years’, Please never let it end’ – Fans react jubilantly to club announcement

The Wolves twitter account has announced that Nuno Espirito Santo has now been in charge for 100 games – and fans want to see a lot more.

It’s been nothing but success really so far for the 45-year-old since joining Molineux. He came in the summer of 2017, since then achieving the Championship title in his first season, before then reaching an FA Cup Semi-final and subsequently Europa League qualification via the league. Then, this season, things have only gotten better, with the club currently fifth and in the final 32 of the European competition.

With the Portuguese doing such a good job, he had been touted as one of the early favourites for the job at hand at the Emirates, however, David Ornstein quashed some rumours last week in the Athletic.

As the Twitter account posted the tweet about this milestone, fans poured in messages of appreciation about their main man, as you can read below…

Wanderers are on the periphery of a very important and influential set of fixtures. In their next five games, they face Besiktas, Spurs, Norwich, Man City and then Liverpool. Thankfully, they have gone 11 on the bounce without losing, so hopefully, there should be some strong confidence in the camp.
