There were plenty of positives from the much-changed Wolverhampton Wanderers performance on Tuesday evening against Sheffield Wednesday.
Heading to Hillsborough for the EFL Cup second round, a largely comfortable 2-0 victory was secured with goals from Leo Bonatini and a late Helder Costa penalty.
With fans taking to social media both during and following the game to discuss the showing Nuno Espirito Santo’s side put in, one of the clear positives on the day from a more youthful lineup was Adama Traore’s individual showing where he continued to wow fans with his potential.
It was the 22-year-old’s first start for the club following his £18million switch from Middlesbrough earlier this month, and having impressed in two substitute cameos, he certainly impressed in this one, setting up Bonatini’s first goal since last December as we got ourselves underway in the game.
Traore will be the bargain of the season #wwfc

Just imagine what a season of Nuno coaching Traore will do to him. The thought is scarier than the man running at you. #wwfc ????

I don’t think it’s coincidence that Adama Traore is the one to assist Leo Bonatini’s first goal in, forever. The man is world class and we are lucky to have him #wwfc

Enjoyable game last night. Less enjoyable alarm this morning! Some good performances all over the park but Saiss was impressive and Traore is a beast.

It was a quality performance and he showed more of what he was capable of, but one of the biggest joys for the fans was he will only get better as he settles in more and he should only get better with greater game time as there are a number of areas he can still work on.
But the raw talent is obvious to everyone.
