Wolverhampton Wanderers boosted their top-four hopes with a 1-0 win over Bournemouth on Wednesday and Adama Traore was one of many players praised for his performance. The 24-year-old picked up another assist for Wolves to justify his start in mid-week, leading to fans drooling over him on social media.

Against Bournemouth, Traore played for 72 minutes, made 32 touches, completed 92.3% of his 13 passes, created one chance which ended up an assist, had one shot, whipped in eight crosses, had three dribbles and won one free-kick. He was eventually replaced by Leander Dendoncker in the second-half.

The Spanish wide-man has made 45 appearances in all competitions this season, scoring six goals and making 12 assists. Traore had lost his starting place prior to the lockdown and when Premier League football returned, but he made an assist from the bench in Wolves’ 2-0 win over West Ham United and created another goal after starting against Bournemouth.

The £75m-rated player will hope to start in Wolves’ meeting with Aston Villa on Saturday and could contribute a goal for his third consecutive league appearance. Wolves are coming off the back of four wins from five and will fancy their chances against a Villa side that have lost five of their last seven.
