Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has slammed Wolves for their team selection against Manchester United.

Wenger very rarely needs a reason to complain about things, so it’s hardly surprising to read his views on Wolves team selection.

‘We will have to compete with Manchester United over 37 games instead of 38,’ Wenger told the BBC.

‘I believe it is a problem for the international credibility of the Premier League, but it is not my problem, it is a Premier League problem.’

However Wolves next opponents Burnley were actually much more understanding with manager Owen Coyle adding: ‘Mick McCarthy is an outstanding manager and fantastic man, somebody I have a lot of time for.

‘He has done a fantastic job at Wolves and does what he sees fit for Wolverhampton.’

Vital Wolves Comment: Perhaps if Arsenal had picked up the win against Burnley he would have been in a better mood for the post match press conference?
