With Wednesday’s confirmation of the departure of Wolverhampton Wanderers winger Helder Costa to Championship promotion hopefuls Leeds United coming in, it seems given the discussion about being open to a loan move but preferring a permanent deal, we very much got to have our cake and eat it.
Former Wolves Record Signing Seals Permanent Move To Championship Hopefuls
The 25-year-old has headed to Elland Road on an initial loan deal for the coming 2019/20 campaign but come the end of the season they are obligated to turn that into a permanent transfer and although the deal is officially undisclosed, I’d be surprised if we haven’t broken even at minimum for our former record buy.
Having already wowed in the Championship but had more of a struggle during our first season back in the Premier League, it’s a deal that works out for all and plenty of fans expect him to really rediscover his form for them as they look to go one step better than last season.
On his day, an absolutely fantastic footballer. A game changer. Can literally be unplayable at times and a real joy to watch.
Lost his way with us the last season, but get him firing again and you guys will fall in love with himGood Luck Helder ????

Gutted to see Helder leave.
It was brave of him to come to #Wolves when he did and for me he symbolises the start of our resurgence.
I hope he finds his form and becomes the baller we know he is.
Good luck @heldercosta_ and thanks.#WWFC#LUFC— Matt (@mdw142850) July 3, 2019
