Late Saturday evening Wolverhampton Wanderers took a perfect victory over Manchester United in the FA Cup sixth round to reach our first Semi-Final for 21 years.

Hosting Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side at the Molineux, we contained them to begin with and grew into the game, pretty much taking charge ultimately – although United had chances of their own.

We were the side who made efforts count though after a goalless first half and Raul Jimenez and Diogo Jota gave us the win. A pathetic u-turn on a red card and a Marcus Rashford goal in stoppage-time makes the game look closer than it was. 2-1, job done, the Pack march on.

Statistics website Whoscored proved our overall control with their player ratings as the visitors only had two players rated above seven.

Raul Jimenez obviously took the Man of the Match and their star man award with a score of 8.62 for his efforts and he was quickly followed by Joao Moutinho (8.54), Diogo Jota (7.96), Ruben Neves (7.61) and Romain Saiss (7.05) to complete our top five best performers on the day.

Matt Doherty also received a plus-seven score.

The season gets better.
